Two of Pembrokeshire’s leading fashion houses are joining forces to bring their designer clothing and bespoke tailoring services to Milford Marina at an innovative pop up shop launched this week.
Jaxxon House and Alice’s Boutique have come together to bring some genuinely unique designer lines to Milford Haven for a limited time only in the festive season.
Kai Stewart from Jaxxon House already has a strong online presence for her designs and accessories. Her partnership with Alice Cahill, who gives her name to the popular boutique in Tenby, combines two strong fashion minds with some savvy retail experience.
“The pop up boutique at Milford Marina gives us a fantastic opportunity to showcase original and local designs to a whole new audience,” said Kai. “The Marina is a truly gorgeous location which already has a variety of brilliant restaurants, coffee shops, salons and boutiques so we felt it would complement what is already on offer in the Marina. Christmas is a great time for shoppers looking for something a little bit special for their loved ones so the timing is ideal for us,” she added.
The Marina’s first pop up shop will trade until the 4th January. Kai from Jaxxon House and Alice from Alice’s Boutique in Tenby will have a wide range of designer collections and accessories at the boutique at 7 Temeraire House. They will also offer bespoke tailoring, a sewing service and styling appointments.
Clare Stowell from Quayside Properties, part of the Port of Milford Haven, welcomed the arrival of the fashion duo. "This is a great opportunity for an ambitious business to test trade in a busy retail environment and we wish Kai and Alice every success over Christmas at Milford Marina,” said Clare. “I don’t think many people outside of Milford Haven realise what fantastic shops there are at the Marina already. We hope Jaxxon House and Alice’s Boutique add yet another reason for shoppers to put the Marina on their Christmas shopping "to do” list,” she added.
Encouraging an even more vibrant retail offering is central to the Port of Milford Haven’s ambition to develop the Marina’s destination appeal. A master plan outlining how the area will look with new homes, shops, restaurants and facilities across the historic waterfront location was approved by Councillors earlier this year.
